Become a Mental Health First Aid Instructor
Step 1: Earn your Adult/Youth MHFA First Aider Certificate. To qualify for Instructor training you must be currently certified as a First Aider in the same curricula (i.e., Adult MHFA = Adult Instructor Training, Youth MHFA = Youth Instructor Training). If you are not already certified, click here to view some available courses or email us at info@mhfamissouri.org.
Step 2: Review the Becoming an Instructor Guide for important details about course curricula, requirements, tuition, and trainings.
Step 3 (Optional): If you need a scholarship, complete this Scholarship Application and wait for a response before moving to Step 4.
Step 4: New Instructors, complete the Application and Registration. Existing Youth or Adult Instructors, please apply through the Missouri Instructor Portal to receive your discounted rate. Early applications are encouraged. Applications close 2 weeks prior to the training date. The application takes about 15 minutes.
